SAINT JAMES, the knitwear born from the sea
Founded in 1889, SAINT JAMES embodies the excellence of French knitwear. Renowned for its sailor sweaters, the brand gradually extended its expertise and developed a full range of ready-to-wear, whose recognized quality made it a French and global success. With a turnover of €60 million, 40% of which comes from exports, the group owns 30 boutiques in France and has an international presence, notably in Asia (Korea and Japan), the United States, and Northern Europe.
The brand currently employs 400 people, 300 of whom are based in the town of the same name, in Saint James (often mispronounced in English!) in Normandy, where its headquarters and wool and cotton knitting and manufacturing workshops are located.
Since 2013, the company has been certified as an “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant ” (Living Heritage Company), a mark of its exceptional expertise in creating a collection that combines authenticity and elegance.
A long-standing collaboration with SCJ
For many years, SCJ has supported SAINT JAMES’ sales teams through the Softwear SFA Mobile App. This mobile application follows field sales representatives during their numerous trips and simplifies their wholesale orders taking on tablets, both in France and abroad, even without an internet connection, resulting in significant time savings.
Thanks to this enduring and successful collaboration, SAINT JAMES called on SCJ for its B2B e-commerce site dedicated to restocking orders for its points of sale aund retailers. The existing interface between the ERP and the mobile application provided a notable advantage, facilitating the site’s deployment.
